Tools for Social Disobedience 

A year after social and political tensions rose about independance in Catalunya, Barcelona’s based space, Mecànic looked at how disobedience acts as a force for social change.

From protesting to breaking the law, from defending civil rights to resisting economical and moral orders, disobedience is at the basis of shifts in power and norms.

“Tools for Social Disobedience” explores the topic through the eyes of committed artists and a selection of publications curated by  a r c h i p e l a g o: disobedient books and books about disobedience.
