This seminar looks at contemporary issues through the image and its role in contemporary communication. The sessions explore the ontology of the image, the diversity and multiplicity of its presence in current communication and consider its impact on the social and political landscape. We examine how the image is a producer of realities, its relationship with power and identity, as well as at the changes induced by the circulation of images on the internet Today.

Ce séminaire aborde les problématiques contemporaines à travers l’image et sa présence dans la communication contemporaine.  Les séances explorent l'ontologie de l'image, la diversité et la multiplicité de sa présence dans la communication actuelle et considèrent son impact sur le paysage social et politique. Nous examinons comment l'image est productrice de réalités, son rapport au pouvoir et à l'identité, ainsi que les changements induits par la circulation des images sur internet aujourd'hui.
