archipelago a été fondé par Magali Avezou, à Londres, en 2015.
Diplomée en histoire, histoire de l’art et en gestion culturelle; elle s’est specialisée en photographie en étudiant à Central Saint Martins College et au London College of Communications. Avant de fonder archipelago, elle a travaillé dans les domaines du cinéma, du livre, de la photographie de mode et du marché de l'art.
Elle enseigne à Sciences Po (France) et à l’Istituto Europeo di Design (Italie) et collabore régulièrement avec des ecoles d’art et universités. Elle est membre de C.E.A, l’Association française des commissaires d’expositions. En 2022, elle fonde La Succulente, une agence mettant en relation artistes et entreprises.

archipelago was founded by Magali Avezou, in London, in 2015. She first graduated in History, History of Arts and Arts Management before specialising in photography by studying at Central Saint Martins and London College of Communications. Previous to founding the studio, she worked in the movie and book industries, in fashion photography and the art market.
She is an Associate Lecturer at Science Po (France), and Istituto Europeo di Design (Italy) and collaborates regularly with the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Photographie d’Arles among other educational institutions. She is a member of C.E.A, l’Association française des commissaires d’expositions. In 2022, she founded La Succulente, an agency connecting artists and companies.
