archipelago is a multi-disciplinary studio cultivating unexpected connections and critical thinking to reflect on visual cultures, with a particular focus on photography and art publications.
archipelago was founded by Magali Avezou, in London, in 2015. Magali first studied History and Arts Management before pursuing a PgCert at Central Saint Martins and an MA in Photography at London College of Communications.
Previous to founding the studio, she worked in the movie and book industries, in fashion photography and the art market.
She is an Associate Lecturer at Science Po (France), and Istituto Europeo di Design (Italy) and collaborates regularly with the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Photographie d’Arles among other educational institutions. She is a member of C.E.A, l’Association française des commissaires d’expositions.
