archipelago is a multi-disciplinary studio that cultivates unexpected connections and critical thinking to reflect on visual cultures, with a particular focus on photography and publications.
archipelago was founded by Magali Avezou, in London, in 2015. Magali first studied History and Arts Management before pursuing a PgCert at Central Saint Martins and an MA in Photography at London College of Communications.
Previous to founding the studio, she worked in the movie and book industries, in fashion photography and the art market.
She is an Associate Lecturer at Science Po (France), Istituto Europeo di Design (Italy) and London College of Communication (UK). She collaborates with various education institutions in Europe and is an expert for Rencontres d’Arles Festival.
